Graham Southwell

IFS Level, Qualifications & Memberships

Profile

My name is Graham Southwell and I have been living in New Zealand since 1998, having emigrated from the UK.

I am a registered psychotherapist with a master’s degree in psychotherapy from AUT University in Auckland and an IFS Level 1 trained therapist and a trained IADC therapist. I am now in private practice in Titirangi, West Auckland. My previous experience has been with Auckland Sexual Health followed by 8 years working at Dove Hospice and two years with The Grief Centre.

I work from a modern property surrounded by native bush in the heart of Titirangi. I can see you either in person or ‘online’ during normal working hours and I can also be available in the early evening.

Most of my experience has been around grief and loss – to include loss as a result of suicide. The grief associated with end of life can be devastating; it may lead one to question what life is all about and to re-evaluate one’s values and core beliefs. The opportunity to explore one’s loss in a warm, safe, non-judgmental environment is often the first step towards healing and rebuilding one’s life. I feel that this is my life’s calling and look forward to working with you.

Please note that if your grief is connected to loss by suicide you may be entitled to fully funded sessions.
